Bob Marley's Rastaman Chant and Birthday reflections

Hear the words of the Rastaman say!!!

Babylon your throne gone down, gone down,

Babylon, your throne gone down..

Whew, be still my beating heart ...every time!! The lyrics, the drumming, the bass guitar..It makes my spirit man jump!!

The Rastaman chant is the sweet musical backdrop that framed out the 36 years that Robert Nesta Marley built his brief life on. The world bore witness and seized one last earthly glance of this small-framed giant of a man. Bob was carried to his final resting place. A 50 mile journey ensued after his memorial service as if his anointed remains like a shadow could bless and encourage his onlooking countrymen. In death, he would return to the place of his birth, Nine Mile.

He left a number of children, a wife, a mother, friends and a saddened island nation. The world mourned over his earthen vessel although his soul had already taken flight to fly away home. Many bitterly cried, shook their heads and mumbled under their breaths..gone too soon!

Robert Nesta Marley, forever to be affectionately called Bob by the globe, had great synergy. His charismatic personality and spiritual messages of positivity permeated war torn regions, huge and tiny countries and small island nations. His poignant words pierced the advocate's hearts and minds seeing that deep calls to deep. And he worked diligently to sear the detractor's encrusted cages where they willfully shielded the hardened muscle they called a heart .

In exchange the universe ensures that this iconic man who lived a brief and complex existence rests from his labor. Without question, categorically across the board  his good works do follow him.

Marley, posthumously garners an active status and dominates social platforms remaining one of society's greatest influencers. From gospel, lovers rock, to roots reggae, his messages remain relevant, reflective and refractive!

Happy Birthday to my fellow Aquarian. You inspire us all through your poetically powerful and profound catalog.

And as we as a people fight to get through the long contentious night we await the dawn of a bright morning! Your Rastaman vibrations invoke and evoke many to unite, ignite and catch a fire!

And you my unmet friend are a catalyst for the healing of the nations! Thank you for walking in your purpose in the spirit of unconditional love and excellence!

In the year of Jamaica's 60th Independence Day Celebration
